Wool coated mechanical Santa, circa 1890s, approximately 8" tall. This German Santa winds up and walks. He has metal legs and wooden feet. Original wool robe. His beard, mustache and eyebrows are still intact, though the beard has lost some fullness. Hands are crude stumps: I don't know if the hands are gone or it was made this way. Silk bag on back.
